NSP (normal safety procedure) on the SA80

The NSP is preformed whenever you pick up a weapon or hand the weapon to someone else. To preform an NSP check the safety catch is the right then pull the cocking handle to the rear and hold the handle there with the bolt catch do a seven point check. checking the chamber twice the bolt face twice and magazine housing twice then check for a magazine. When clear release the working parts forward and fire off the action. Then put the dust cover to the orginal position.

  1. Poorly written and punctuated.
    Correction:
The NSP is performed whenever handing the weapon over to someone or whenever preparing to strip the weapon.

    1. Apply safety catch (Pin should stick out the right side of the weapon, Left = Off / Right = On)

    2. Check no mag is loaded/release any loaded mag.

    3. Pull bolt back and apply bolt lock (Is a little leaver located to the rear of the dust cover)

    4. Begin your 7 point check in the chamber, barrel, mag, and general weapon housing.

    5. Once confident it's clear, operate the bolt release. (It's a little black knob on the left side of the weapon at the rear of the gun - Pull It down)

    6. Once the bolt is released and is forward, with your left hand bring it over the top and firmly hit the handle you would use to pull the bolt back.

    7. Confident your bolt is fully forward point the weapon away from any person or object, take aim down sight, remove safety, and fire.

    8. After firing place the weapon back on safe and close your dust cover.

    9. Place weapon bolt side up on the ground and close any open pouches you own.

That is 101 of the NSP for the Sa80/L85
